OVERVIEW
Amazing 4.5km Kayak Tour of Phong Nha Cave is one of the most highlight tours in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park. The tour run daily (except the flood season Sep 15 – Nov 15) from the Phong Nha area.
Our guide will pick up participants from hotels in Phong Nha to the base (Heritage By Night hotel) to prepare the equipment such as helmet with headlamp, life-jacket, gloves, sandals, waterproof bags. Participants will hear brief information and safety-guidance about the tour.
After receiving all equipment and guidance, participant will hop on bus to reach the Phong Nha Cave entrance and take time to practice the kayak in front of the cave for 5 minutes before entering the cave. (2 persons each kayak)
Participants will paddle the kayak inside the first kilometer of the cave with artificial light to reach the Bi Ky cave (dry sand-stone cave inside Phong Nha). This cave retain some manuscripts from Cham people in early 11th century.
After an hour inside the Biky cave, Participants will get back on kayak for going further 1.5km in the dark part of the cave before getting off the kayak for bouldering, climbing over some huge rocks where the river disappears under them.
The bouldering, climbing takes 1 hour to get to the lunch spot. Participants can take a break and add some energy from food, coke which are prepared by porters.
After having lunch and relax, participants will continue to explore deeper into the secret lake inside the cave and jump into the beautiful emerald green water and try the sand-bath.
After enjoying the lake, participants will get back to the kayak by the same way, kayak back to the entrance and finish the tour.
Participants will be transfered back to hotel by guide and driver.
