OVERVIEW
Sapa is one of the attractive destinations for domestic and international tourists coming to the Northwest mountains of Vietnam. The beauty of the spectacular terraced fields winding around the mountains makes visitors admiring admiration.

Sapa terraced fields are a masterpiece of art that nature has bestowed and has become a tourist brand in Sapa. The fields look like giant ladders leading up to heaven. Each season those  the terraced fields wear a different colors. In winter and spring, they are covered in the green color of corn fields.

There is only one rice crop in Sapa per year, so in April, fields filled with water look like a sparkling mirror between majestic mountains. If you visit Sapa in May and June, the young rice plants begin to grow. A greenish color spreads everywhere. In the autumn, Sapa rice fields are the most beautiful and brightest when wearing a yellow shirt. The end of August and the beginning of September is the season of ripe rice and the golden season of Sapa. Viewed from above, the panoramic view of the golden fields mixed with the green of the mountains is reduced in the eye to create a very comfortable feeling.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Cat Cat – Sapa (L/D)

06:00 - 07:00 Our driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Noi old town to depart for Sapa.
On the way, stop at rest top for relaxing and take a coffee.
12:30 Comming to Sapa town. Enjoy welcome drinks then have lunch with local Vietnamese dishes before check in hotel in Sapa town.
14:00 Start hiking downhill to Cat Cat village at the bottom of Muong Hoa Valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of the beautiful valley towards Fansipan – the highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina. Upon arrival at the village, you will have a chance to visit the Black H’mong’s traditional stilt houses as well as watch people weaving, embroidering, and drying their clothes, etc. Then, keep walking to visit the dramatic and picturesque Cat Cat Waterfall, which is a great spot for photo-shoots.
17:00 Return to Sapa town for dinner. Enjoy your free time in the afternoon to explore Sapa Market and town.


DAY 2: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Fansifan (B/L/D)

7:00 - 7:45 Have breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 Take a short drive to Y Linh Ho village and then start hiking through the rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai, the village of Black H’mong minority. Here you will enjoy the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son mountain ranges. In the late afternoon, continue trekking to visit Ta Van village, which is the home of Tay minority. 
11:30  Hike uphill to Ta Van Bridge to be transferred back to Sapa town.
12:00 Have lunch in Sapa town.
Enjoy free time for the rest of the day to discover Sapa town by yourself or choosing more tour to conquer Fansifan peak 3.143m high by cable car. You will pay extra for cable car fare and transportation fee to the base of Mount Fansifan to get on the cable car to the top of the mountain.
Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: Sapa – Bac Ha Market – Lao Cai – Ha Noi (B/L)

06:00 Have breakfast at the hotel, check out, and prepare your luggage before departing for Bac Ha market.
07:00 Depart for Bac Ha market. It is Take 2 hours drive to Bac Ha Town.
09:30 Visiting Bac Ha market, the busiest and most popular weekly market of the minorities in the Northern Vietnam.
Have lunch at local restaurant at noon. Take a short walk to visit Hoang A Tuong’s palace (H’mong King’s palace), which was built in 1914 and then visit Pho Village of the Flower H’Mong people.
14:00 Take a 2 hours drive back to Lao Cai City. Here you will have a short break and a shower before being transferred back to Hanoi City.
On the way, the bus will stop at Rest stop and free time have dinner by yourseft.
21:30 - 22:00 Arrive in Hanoi. The tour ends

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
  • Old people should not attend the long trek (9 kms) due to its challenge and danger in case of rain.
  • Handicapped people and children under 6 years old should not attend this tour.
  • Homestay is totally different from hotel due to its basic and simple facilities.
  • Warm clothes, scarf, hat, cap because the weather in Sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in September, October, November, December, January, February and March
  • Due to altitude of Sapa, it is sometimes foggy in December, January, February and March.
  • Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in Vietnam Dong because banking system in Sapa sometimes doesn’t function well. US Dollar, Euro, Australia Dollar are accepted in Sapa.
