OVERVIEW
Lao Chai - Ta Van lies in the valley, flanked by two rows of Hoang Lien Son and Ham Rong majestic mountains. It is surrounded by villages with rice terraced fields located at a lower level. It seems that it is the stairs connecting Lao Chai with the mountains to mingle with clouds to the sky ... These terraced fields have existed for hundreds of years and are all made by talented hands, industrious of the ethnic minority farmers created and these fields are hundreds of hectares wide ... looks like giant landscape paintings with the delicate curves created by "barefoot artists".
Every harvest season (April and September each year) is the whole village warmed up with the natural yellow color of the ripe rice.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (L/D)

6:30 - 7:00 Our tour guide and car picked up from your hotel in Hanoi old town to depart for Sapa via the new highway. 
12:30 Arrive at Sapa town, having lunch with local Vietnamese dishes.
14:00 Take a short drive to Y Linh Ho village and then start hiking through the rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai, the village of Black H’mong minority. Here you will enjoy the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son mountain ranges. In the late afternoon, continue trekking to visit Ta Van village, which is the home of Tay minority. 
18:00 Check in to the homestay. Experience the rustic lifestyle of the local and enjoy the sun setting in the mountainous region. In the evening, enjoy the local bar nearby or socialize with other tourists then overnight at homestay.

DAY 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Cat Cat – Sapa (B/L/D)

8.00: Having breakfast prepared by the family and start a new day with more interesting trek.
8.45: Keep walking to the rice paddies where you have a nice photo session of the amazing surrounding landscapes.
11.00: Trek through the Giang Ta Chai Bridge to main road, bus picks you up to come back Sapa Town.
11:45  having lunch with delicious Vietnamese dishes before check in Hotel in Sapa town.
14:30 A short drive to the gate of Cat Cat village which is home of Black H’mong ethnic people and is located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station, stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon.
16:30 Come back to Sapa Town, having dinner. free time to exploring with night activities.

DAY 3: Sapa - Fansifan - Ha Noi (B/L)

7.30 Have breakfast at hotel and free times to discover Sapa town by yourself or choosing more tour to conquer Fansifan peak 3.143m high by cable car. You will pay extra for cable car fare and transportation fee to the base of Mount Fansifan to get on the cable car to the top of the mountain.
It will be a great experience to fully experience when you set foot on the highest mountain of Indochina. 
12.30 – 14:00 Having lunch with local dishes and enjoy more free times to take photos or souvenir collections.
15:00 Get on bus to Hanoi with two comfort breaks on the way.
211:5 We say goodbye to you at your hotel/stay. Trip ends.

  • Old people should not attend the long trek (9 kms) due to its challenge and danger in case of rain.
  • Handicapped people and children under 6 years old should not attend this tour.
  • Homestay is totally different from hotel due to its basic and simple facilities.
  • Warm clothes, scarf, hat, cap because the weather in Sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in September, October, November, December, January, February and March
  • Due to altitude of Sapa, it is sometimes foggy in December, January, February and March.
  • Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in Vietnam Dong because banking system in Sapa sometimes doesn’t function well. US Dollar, Euro, Australia Dollar are accepted in Sapa.
